About Chronic Kidney Disease

Chronic kidney disease or “CKD” means that your kidneys are not working as well as they should and it covers a range of conditions that may result in long-term kidney damage. For many people, CKD will develop slowly over time, without any symptoms. Therefore, CKD may not be detected until your kidneys are no longer functioning well.

Advocacy

We are committed to working with patients and donors to advocate for system change that matters most to us. As a charity we follow CRA regulations which limits the amount of advocacy work charities can do. That’s why we work closely with the Kidney Patient and Donor Alliance that is a non-profit dedicated to advocating for system improvements to advance kidney care.
