Transplant Ambassador Priorities

TAP Highest Priority Needs

Support is always need to help with ongoing TAP work including communication across our network of over 200 ambassadors, 2000 patients as well as support for onboarding and training new ambassadors, TAP webinars, website and materials.

The Transplant Ambassador Program is growing with big dreams for the future. Your donation to TAP will support our ongoing work or could be designated to support one of our 5 key priorities.

  • TAP Digitization & Volunteer Management System – With over 10,000 contacts since 2017 TAP has outgrown its manual system and volunteers are doing extra work tracking information and coordinating volunteer activities manually. One digitized, PHIPA approved system would free up volunteer time to make more contacts and reach out to more patients – $20,000
  • Expansion and promotion of PatientsSeekingDonors.ca portal Marketing and targeting promotion of the portal specifically to donors; providing more support for patients who post profiles and creating an evaluation mechanism to understand impact
  • TAP Navigator Program – a specially trained group of TAP ambassadors who work 1 on 1 with patients to navigate the transplant process and assist with efforts to find a living donor – $50,000
  • TAP Pilots in Quebec, Atlantic, Alberta and BC – Creating new, localized TAP programs to support patients and potential donors where they live – $20,000 per pilot
  • 6. French translation of website and materials $10,000

Together, we can expand access to education, support transplant journeys, and make sure kidney patient and donor voices are heard. Thank you for helping us move this work forward.
